This project is funded by a University of Auckland Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Grant. Over 20 academics in over 25 programming courses at the University will make use of the project’s tool that will automatically check code style in programming assignments across various popular programming languages. This software will improve student learning by providing instant feedback on code style, a crucial aspect of programming that ensures code is clean and follows industry standards. It also provides a consistent, fair, and efficient assessment of code style across all students in a course.

This project builds on a previous tool published at the 2023 IEEE/ACM 45th International Conference on Software Engineering: Software Engineering Education and Training (ICSE-SEET).
